How to Choose Tactical Pants?

0
The features designed to cater to military lifestyle are embedded in every pair of tactical pants. But, certain styles are suited better for specific operations.

To make your search easy, we're here to help you! We've outlined what you need to consider prior to investing in a pair.

Pattern and Color

first thing is to make sure you’re choosing pants in the right pattern. Get authentic fabric too as duplicates might not be properly infrared-treated. Check for the pattern and colors as per your service regulations.

Fabric

Check for the fabric weight and blend also. If you’ll be working in a hot climate, definitely you’ll be sweating in heavy pants, at the same time, however, lightweight fabric is very less durable. Hence, your best bet is a lightweight ripstop fabric!

When considering hot climate, look for light and comfortable fabric with reinforced knees. Poly cotton is a popular and comfortable fabric for tactical gear, however many troops prefer plain old cotton. These are slower to dry but have one advantage that these don’t melt being a natural fabric. On the other hand, if synthetic fabrics catch fire, they can cause injuries. While some newer ones are a lot more flame resistant, it’s still hard to beat cotton for safety.

Cargo Capacity

Don’t forget to consider carrying capacity of cargo. Although some people find them annoying, yet cargo pockets are useful. The pleated style tends to appeal a lot more pocket debris ending up flapping round your thighs. Hence, if you like to keep your legs released, go for flat ones. They’ll serve for holding maps and even a couple of spare rifle magazines. However, you won’t be tempted to stuff as much junk in there.

Conclusion

Tactical pant is something that should fit you comfortably, thus it’s always a good idea to try them on before purchasing. If you get a tight or extra loose fit, or pockets that aren’t placed where you like them, it’s quite to do anything about it afterwards. Try them on with the same basic gear like boots and belt at a minimum where possible. This will give you an idea of any potential issues.

How to Choose the Appropriate Tactical Clothing?

0

Sometimes you can’t avoid a violent situation or a sudden attack but you can definitely reduce its impact by covering yourself with the right kind of clothing when you step out of your home. Better shelter, a better covering position, better vehicle protection, and fully equipped survival kit can protect you from unwanted dangers. Wearing the right body armor that can cope with high-velocity rounds can prove to be life-saving.

The following blog post describes the right ways to choose appropriate tactical clothing.

Comfort

If it’s important for your tactical clothing to fit you, it is equally important that it should be comfortable for you else it’s going to be burdensome for you. Moreover, if you are into static duty work which demands to stay in a fixed place for a long time then certainly you need to wear comfortable tactical clothing.

Functionality

Functionality means the purpose for which the tactical clothing is to be worn. For example: Will it protect you against adverse temperature? Such features should be a part of good tactical clothing. Another important functionality feature is the storage capacity. Since you will need to carry extra stuff along thus choose tactical clothing with extra pockets so that you can carry necessary gears along with you.

Durability

Durability is as important as comfort of the tactical clothing. Don’t run after cheap tactical clothing in lieu of saving you few bucks, it would bring you no good in long run and you shouldn’t even pay a lot of money for top range tactical gear. Just look for tactical clothing available at decent market price which is durable and resilient.

Quality

Although if you choose long lasting tactical clothing it is definitely is going to of superior quality so never compromise with the quality. You may choose cheap imitation tactical clothing but remember your protection and life depends on it.

How To Choose A Suitable Holster For Hiding Your Gun?

0

If you carry a gun along with you for your safety, you might not as aware of how to as would Police and military personnel. If you are new to the concealed carriers then you certainly want to do some research on the kind of holster to carry your gun in. The following blog explains few ways to carry your gun in a safe and comfortable way.

There are in general two ways to carry your gun- Inside the Waistband (IWB) and Outside the Waistband (OWB). Although there are other ways as well but these two are the primary ways adopted for concealing a handgun.

Inside the Waistband

IWB holsters are designed in a way so that your handgun can be concealed a handgun in your waistband, between your pants and your underwear. Not considering the real place of the gun (i.e. small of the back, 3 o’clock, 1 o’clock, etc), all the firearm holsters have more or less same features that can hold the gun back in its place

 Pro:

·         Excellent concealability, suitable for long barreled guns.
·         Easy to conceal a larger handgun even while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
·         Flexible to be positioned anywhere around the waist.

Con:

·         It may demand some alteration as per the gun model and can even make your pants tight due to jamming of gun and holster.
·         It’s difficult to get a firm grip over the weapon.

Outside the Waistband

OWB holsters are slimmer and have less design features in comparison to their exposed counterparts. They make use of a belt to hang the holster with very little placement difference.

Pro:

·         More comfortable than IWB holsters.
·         Highly secure than an IWB because of presence of belt.
·         Positive grip can easily be achieved because no space between the gun and body.

Con:

·         Less concealable than an IWB.
·         Prints more than IWB.
